In Hampel et al. (2018, Fron Genet), we proposed an advanced method for the estimation of paternal recombination rate and maternal linkage disequilibrium between pairs of SNPs if genotypes of paternal half sibs were available. To show practical usability of the approach, empirical bovine data comprising several half-sib families have been investigated. However, the outcome of our method strongly depended on the order of SNPs. For instance, candidates of putatively misplaced SNPs were identified if recombination rate between close SNPs was unusually high. Since the bovine genome assembly has been updated to its current version ARS-UCD1.2, it was necessary to re-analyse the data. The parameter estimates as well as the input data are now jointly available from this repository. More details about the methodology can be found in Hampel et al. (2018, Fron Genet), https://doi.org/10.3389/fgene.2018.00186.
