(Technical Remarks) ### General Information This repository contains additional research data contributing to the doctoral thesis "On topological mechanics of 3D chiral metamaterials" by J. Köpfler. Further data of related publications (DOIs: 10.1002/adma.202103205 and 10.1103/PhysRevApplied.11.034059) can be found in the corresponding repository (DOI: 10.5445/IR/1000135066). ### Folder structure: The data in each folder is sorted in subfolders corresponding to the chapters of the doctoral thesis #### Fabrication - contains the 3D printing files for the microstructure casts (double-sided support mirror structure) and a file that was used to design the 3D microcast #### Calculations - contains the files for the Matlab scripts and COMSOL files for the FEM-calculations #### Experiments - contains the image series that was acquired for the evaluation of the resonance of the double-sided support mirror structure - contains the scripts to extract displacement data and generate the resonance plots etc. ### Experimental data treatment: Image cross-correlation was performed using the "grid\_generator\_" functions on the digital images, followed by the "automate\_images\_" functions. The resulting datasets "validx.dat" and "validy.dat" for the tracked x- and y-displacements are loaded, processed, collected, and plotted via the specific "combine\_parts\_" functions in the individual measurement folders.
